  • Lynn Soodik is a Shareholder in our Family Law Practice Group. Representing high net worth individuals, Ms. Soodik handles all aspects of divorce, separation and nullity. Respected as a tenacious litigator and negotiator, she is adept in leading clients through complex custody and visitation disputes and handling child support and spousal support issues in initial dissolution and paternity matters as well as in the modification of support orders. She has extensive experience in the division and valuation of property in complex cases and in protecting a client’s separate property.

    Because of her extensive experience, credentials and activity in the family law community, Ms. Soodik is often called upon to clarify certain legal aspects affecting celebrity divorces and other high-profile family law matters. The Los Angeles family law attorney has been a featured television guest on Larry King, 20/20, Entertainment Tonight ™, Extra ™, E! Channel, Court T.V., Trial Watch and In Studio, and has been quoted in The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, The Daily Journal, People Magazine, US Magazine and Hollywood Life Magazine on family law issues.

    In addition to being well recognized in the media, Ms. Soodik is also noted for her experience and legal knowledge among her peers.

    The Family Law Attorney carries an AV 5.0 Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting the highest level of ability and ethical standards awarded by members of the bar and judiciary. Los Angeles Magazine has named her one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Los Angeles as well as one of the Top Women Attorneys in Southern California. She has consistently been rated a Super Lawyer since 2005. Best Lawyers Magazine has designated her one of the Best Lawyers in America in Family Law, since 2018.

    Ms. Soodik actively participates in the family law community. She is a past chair of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Family Law Section, and is a past co-chair of the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles Family Law Section. She lectures and publishes articles on behalf of local bar organizations, continuing legal education organizations, and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

    The Los Angeles family law attorney earned her bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University, and also studied at Durham University, England. Ms. Soodik earned her Juris Doctor degree in 1982 from Hastings College of the Law, University of California.
