Cindy Cardoza is an Associate in our Franchise & Distribution Practice Group.
Ms. Cardoza represents franchisors in default and termination matters, workout agreements, and acquisitions and dispositions of franchised units. She also creates and reviews franchise agreements and franchise disclosure documents; assesses state and federal registration and compliance matters; and drafts and analyzes other franchise-related documents.
Before earning her law degree and bar admission, Ms. Cardoza served as a Law Clerk here at Lewitt Hackman. She previously worked for other firms and companies in Southern California – assisting with a variety of commercial transactions, business litigation, and intellectual property matters.
Ms. Cardoza earned her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School. While at Southwestern she served as Student Editor for the Journal of International Media and Entertainment Law; President of the International Law Society; and Treasurer of the Latino Law Students Association. She received the Dean’s Merit Scholar Award and the Legal Clinic Rising Star Award.
A cum laude graduate at the California State University, Northridge, Ms. Cardoza earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and received CSUN’s Political Science Department Award of Academic Excellence.
